hey !

Wow! can you believe it? i'm 26 today. a little personal note:

i feel i have sometimes given a false impression of who Christ is and maybe sometimes i have given a bad label for christians. i may have been a bad example at times to my students for lacking effort and discipline in my own life and even to others. I want to be carefull of what i say and do before everyone else. Praise God if God has used me for His Glory despite the sinner i am. So i want to encourage all of you be carefull of what we do and say before others because you may never know who is watching and observing. On a positive note... you may never know your actions or your words might lead some to Christ.

I just want to Thank all my friends for writing on my wall and wishing you me a happy birthday. I am truly blessed to have great friends everywhere. Just know that you are loved and valued by God and by me even though we don't see each other that often or in a whille.

anyways... i have been student teaching lately. I was given a note by one of my students today: Its given to me by a fith grade girl.

" Dear Mr. Ted. Thankyou for all the things that you done for me. Your my best friend and i like your examples for math. Mr. Ted, you rock and what can i do with out you. "

this is the same girl that shouted: "I am a christian" when i prayed that Christians will stand up for their ffaith at school" , which led to a small discusiion of religon.

Ted’s update for the last 6 months or so…

Volunteer, support, helped out with the CHS Cross country team from august to November

I have been substituting for Garden Grove USD and Norwalk-La Mirade USD since September, October respectively, (M/M, RSP Special Education classes for elementary through High School, Middle School PE)

Serving in Youth Ministry at Cerritos Baptist Church Friday Nights

Been able to spend time with a few HS seniors through small group and hanging out. 

Attending Catalyst Community Church – in Long Beach, CA involved and attending a small group on Wednesday Nights and serving in children’s ministry once a month

Starting student teaching at Monroe K-8 in Lakewood, CA (LBUSD) as a RSP teacher February to Mid May

Seeking to attend job fairs sometime around March to find job for September 2008

as an RSP Teacher, elementary, middle, or high school.

Prayer Requests:

God Will be Glorified

Daily Quiet times

I will do well during student teaching

I will be submissive to Gods will

Be flexible at the school working with different people

I will exercise on a weekly basis

Wrote this journal a few days after the trade happend.

I was so estatic when i heard the news: Lakers obtaining Pau Gasol for kwame and jarvis, and others. i screamed for joy...  i didn't have that much joy in a while... i haven't had the joy since prior to bynum's injury. so i was excited to watch some of the laker game. i looked at the current lineup the lakers have and potentially what the lakers have...

first of all... when i heard in the interview of kobe bryant in his comments about the acquisition. it was about kwame. he said, he had alot of ups and downs, but had a big heart. I can honestly say... i can relate to him (kwame). I feel like i have been very inconsistent with who i am. I could be different one week to another. good and bad. i have been commended with a big heart by others... but i simply understand who God is and to trust and obey God, and follow my heart and not to look back. its not so good when you look back, because u can't change the past. Also i seee more potential in my self because God sees more potential in me. I want to fulfiull that potential that HE has for me even when i am 25 years old and going. so please pray for me... okay,

back to the Lakers.

another potential can be trade odom and mihm for a defensive player like bwallace or something... i heard with this lineup, there will not defense inside more offense. kwame was okay at defensive sometimes.... and i'll miss javaris - he is going to be good somewere.

Today, August 31marks the 21st anniversary for the 1986 Cerritos Air Disasater of an Aero Mexico Douglas DC-9-32 jet liner. This crash changed aviation forever. Since then, there has been no crashes in the united states.

p.s. My family was living about 15 to 20 houses away from where the plane crashed in 1986. I was four years old.
